It is always great to hear how a small act of kindness can mean so much.
Recently DBD donated our appliance packing timber waste to St Batholomews School in Berkshire to help aid their Design and technology department. The end results are brilliant due to the enthusiastic and talented pupils.
The head of Design & Technology says – ‘The wood that you send to us is an invaluable resource that enables the students to design and make projects which they might otherwise not be able to do due to lack of funds. In a time when less and less people are realising the importance of being able to make and repair things, we think it is especially relevant that we teach the youth of today how to use tools and equipment.
Fewer and fewer companies have the resource or inclination to support the community so the fact that you are supporting the school, especially one out of your immediate community, really is much appreciated.’
Its great to hear and see, how what is waste in our eyes, can be put to such good use. Aiding the young to grow in practical skills and creativity is always a winner in our eyes. Being able to help the community grow and develop is a daily challenge that faces many but we are pleased to be able to contribute, even in a small way, so positively.
