Coinciding with the launch in London, Smeg has also been busy with the unveiling of its latest project ‘Nuovo Vista’: a new view of Smeg, its products and most importantly an extensive new facility housed at the Magna Building, its Abingdon HQ in Oxfordshire and the site Smeg purchased and moved into just two years ago.
Housed within Smeg’s three story building and grounds of spanning approximately 4 acres, the Magna building’s ground floor has been totally transformed into a 14,000 sq ft trade showroom facility. Showcasing 400+ products from Smeg’s vast 1,000 strong UK product range, the showroom space lays out the aesthetic ranges and collections one by one. Each aesthetic features a hero kitchen display, and on the reverse the wider colour finishes and options within each aesthetic family – from ovens and compacts through to touch control wine coolers and warming drawers. There’s even sizable displays of Smeg’s latest gas, induction and mixed fuel hob range and fully working extractors, including its latest downdraft models.

Contemporary in style, the facility is light and airy and reveals the comprehensive range, from built in to range cooking, refrigeration to dishwashing, sinks and taps. The purpose-built space not only showcases the range but is designed to offer extensive training facilities too. On site there’s a working ‘living kitchen’ complete with cooking demonstration facilities and individual workstations for Smeg’s trade customers to get hands on – learning about product with well-designed courses delivered by Smeg’s home economist and training teams. The facility also offers full conference and break out spaces, perfect for delivering Smeg’s one and two day ‘Academy’ training programmes designed to equip customer facing sales staff with the knowledge and values to drive great results.
During your visit, why not take a tour of Smeg’s offices, learn how to make a pizza in just 5 minutes in the living kitchen, or marvel at Smeg’s hand painted Dolce and Gabbana collaboration.
