“we successfully maintained the required programme and adapted to the changing requirements on site
Here is what our Senior Project Manger Eddie Dowd states “Vauxhall Sky Gardens presented DBD with some unique challenges from a delivery and planning perspective. The project entailed the delivery of 200+ apartments spread over 27 floors from floor 9 to 36. Each floor constituted 8 apartments made up of 2 repetitive types in mirror format. To meet the targeted programme DBD had to coordinate trades to complete a floor a week for each element of the fit, from furniture installation, worktops and glass splashbacks, appliances and finals. To achieve the delivery and programme we coordinated a minimum of 2 dedicated deliveries and off loads a week, these were planned for strict delivery windows and timeframes due to the limited accessibility and parking as dictated by the Mace transport management plan. Access to the building was via an external hoist only and determined by staging areas spread throughout the building.
In addition to the intricacies of the physical site access we had to work hard with the warehouse at DBD to isolate, track and sequence deliveries by floor sometimes amending the pattern of the programmed works and isolating elements such as plinths and panels to deliver later in the planned schedule.

From design to completion
By understanding and working closely with the Mace management team and our own internal departments we successfully maintained the required programme and adapted to the changing requirements on site which enabled us to progress in advance of the stated objectives of site.
Our Project Manager Roger Jarvis worked closely with our Project Co-ordinator Katherine Cox to successfully deliver the final stages of this unique and rewarding development.”
