Electrolux “For the Better” Video Wins Global Sustainability Film Award

An Electrolux film about its sustainability framework “For the Better” has won the Global Sustainability Film Award 2016 in the Net Positive leadership category. Organised by the UK media charity tve, the awards put the spotlight on companies driving environmental and social change.

As a leading global appliance company, we know that to make a positive change for the better, we have to take a broad approach to sustainability, addressing our operations, our solutions as well as our role in society. We think this is a compelling story and are very pleased to see it recognized in this year’s Global Sustainability Film Award,
Henrik Sundström, Head of Sustainability Affairs at Electrolux.

The Electrolux sustainability framework ‘For the Better’ was introduced in early 2016. The related video, produced by House of Radon, seeks to inspire and educate about how many small changes in the home can have a big impact – such as by cutting down on the power and water we use. It also highlights Electrolux’s target to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2020.

The prestigious award was presented at a black tie ceremony held at BAFTA on 28th November.
